HISTORY

The group Globe Metales began with the former company Stein Ferroaleaciones. This company started operating in 1965, primarily to meet the foundry industry’s need for chemical products. In 1973, with an increased demand for ferroalloys by the steel industry, the company builds the Mendoza plant in the Industrial Park of Lujan de Cuyo, Province of Mendoza, Argentina.

  • Two 25MVA Demag Technology Furnaces with electrode paste columns for Calcium Silicon and Ferro Silicon production
  • Three crushing lines for CaSi and MgFeSi
  • One Cored Wire conforming machine

The Plant is located in Lujan de Cuyo Industrial Park, Mendoza, Argentina, besides The Andes and 35Km from the city of Mendoza, the nearest airport is “Aeropuerto Internacional de Mendoza (MDZ)”.
